Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Boston, MA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent L&D and OR circulator experience, Epic proficiency, and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- 13-week travel contract in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
- Unit includes 9 labor rooms, 2 operating and recovery rooms, and 5 triage rooms, with approximately 3,000 deliveries per year
- High-risk obstetrics experience is preferred
- PM shift, 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
- Night shift schedule with every other weekend and every other holiday required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required; all NRP lessons must be completed and certifications must remain active throughout the assignment
- Evidence of completing an Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course required, with AWHONN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 recent years of L&D RN experience and OR circulator experience required; CNM experience will not be considered
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
- Must pass a telemetry test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Dysrhythmia/Telemetry Interpretation Course preferred
- Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) prior to consideration; the test may only be taken twice
- 2 professional references required, both at manager level or above, including performance evaluations; one must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years
Additional Information
- Responsible for providing nursing care in a high-volume Labor & Delivery setting with high-risk obstetric cases
- There is no radius restriction for this L&D position; local candidates are welcome to apply
- Holiday coverage is required on an every-other-holiday basis
