Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry Unit position in California, requiring acute care hospital experience and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
Details
- Day shift position with hours from 07:00–19:30
- 13-week contract
- Work in a hospital Telemetry Unit
- Cardiac monitoring is a core component of patient care
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Current NIHSS certification
- DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention) certification required — may be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC resource
- Minimum 1 year of experience in telemetry or acute care
- Previous acute care hospital experience required
- Ventilator management experience preferred
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsible for the full nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — for assigned telemetry patients
- Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, cardiac monitoring findings, diagnostic results, and symptomatology
- Provides patient and family education as part of care delivery
- Directs and guides the activities of other nursing personnel on the unit
- COVID vaccination preferred
- Local candidates are accepted
