Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a short-term acute care facility in Indiana, requiring telemetry experience and PALS certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Tele unit that admits pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Minimum of 3 weekends required per 6-week period
• On-call assignment is a possibility based on unit needs
• Floating to other units or areas is possible based on hospital needs
• Charting is performed in Meditech

Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry (tele) experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• PALS must be in hand prior to starting the assignment
• Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and will be subject to a pay rate differential
• Any time off requests must be submitted upfront; no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved
• If a shift is called out, the traveler will be expected to pick up a replacement shift
• Previous direct employees of the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible without prior written approval
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance is expected
