Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg night shift position in Peoria, IL, requiring an IL RN license and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.
Details
- Night shift position on a Neuro Med/Surg unit (8C Neuro)
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, three days per week, 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- May float to other Carle Health system facilities, including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

- Performs comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and develops individualized plans of care
- Implements and continuously modifies nursing interventions based on patient and family needs
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the full healthcare team
- Actively participates in safety reporting and contributes to a culture of patient and employee safety
- Engages in peer collaboration, offering constructive feedback and pursuing ongoing professional development
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Travelers who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for one year must either convert or take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
