Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Neuro/Vascular Step-Down ICU position in Morristown, NJ, requiring at least 1 year of ICU experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• High-acuity Neuro/Vascular Step-Down unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a
• 36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts per week
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include systematic patient assessment across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Provides direct patient care including clinical skills, emergency equipment and procedure knowledge, and patient/family education
• Maintains thorough and accurate nursing documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
• Upholds National Patient Safety Goals including universal protocol and dual patient identification
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Travelers who have reached one cumulative year on assignment must take a 30–60 day break before beginning a new assignment at this facility
