Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist with inpatient rehab experience and Epic proficiency for a full-time, Monday–Friday day shift position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Urbana, IL.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation therapy unit at a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Urbana, IL
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM day shift schedule
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Candidate selection involves a leader interview with the facility
Requirements
- Active Illinois OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Current BLS (CPR) certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, developing individualized plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
- Perform patient examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint and patient history
- Utilize standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect functional performance
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
- Provide supervision to COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate patient status, activity and transfer recommendations, and discharge disposition with the broader medical team
- Document evaluations, plans of care, and treatment modifications per department and regulatory standards
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
