Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in California, requiring active CA licensure, TNCC, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience on NOC shifts.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with 22 acute beds and 99 long-term care beds
• Emergency Department (ED) unit
• NOC shift: 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active California RN license in good standing required
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conducts individualized patient assessments and develops care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Performs treatments and assigned tasks including EKGs, blood draws, and IV starts
• Initiates emergency resuscitative measures per resuscitation protocols
• Provides patient and family education and maintains accurate, timely documentation
• Reports directly to the on-duty Charge Nurse and Nursing Supervisor
• Must be able to multi-task efficiently and respond quickly during onset of acute illness or trauma
• Professional appearance and adherence to dress code required
• Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
