Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Details
- Inpatient hospital setting at a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- CT department providing diagnostic imaging for trauma, stroke, and a broad inpatient population averaging 98 patients per 24-hour day
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction
- Uses GE and Siemens CT equipment; experience with both is required
- Documents in Epic; Synapse-Fuji PACS experience is required
- 3x12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Every weekend is required
- Call is required, with no more than 2 twelve-hour call shifts per month
- Floating within the facility is required
- 13-week minimum contract; longer contracts (up to 26 weeks) may be available
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience required
- Current BLS, ARRT, and RT(R)(CT) certifications required; ARRT Advanced Certification also required
- License required if applicable
- Experience in inpatient, ER, teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level II Trauma settings required
- Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required
- GE and Siemens CT equipment experience required
- Epic and Synapse-Fuji experience required
- Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 2 years are required prior to start (pending at time of consideration is acceptable)
- Experience with adult ICU, comprehensive stroke, and children's hospital populations preferred
- Preferred skills include outpatient experience, NICU, PICU, IV starts, phlebotomy, biopsies, aspirations, and drainage procedures
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted provided all requirements are met
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a different rate
- Former permanent, PRN, or EP staff employees of this health system must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required
- Orientation is held weekly; no time off is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation
- Pre-start modules are required (approximately 8–10 hours for acute care roles) and must be completed annually; modules are completed via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved provided it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Travel pairs are permitted; each must have their own transportation and be comfortable with potentially different schedules
- Solid color scrubs are required
