Description
American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Epic EMR experience and Level 1 Trauma background for an acute care hospital assignment in Urbana, IL.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
- Weekend shifts on a PRN basis
- Holiday shifts on a PRN basis
- Treats patients across all age groups
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current BLS certification
- Active Illinois SLP license (issued by IDFPR); license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of relevant SLP experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Collects case history information and integrates input from patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
- Selects and administers evaluation procedures tailored to individual patient needs, including standardized assessments and instrumental evaluations
- Develops and implements individualized care plans with measurable goals addressing functional and emotional needs
- Modifies treatment approaches in response to patient behavior and performance
- Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
- Collaborates with the medical team to communicate patient status, changes, and recommendations for next level of care
- Provides patient and family education and training throughout the rehabilitation process
- Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
- Candidates who have been on assignment at this health system for 1 year or more must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the system
- RTO may not exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
- Interviews are conducted by facility leadership
