Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience for an evening shift, weekday-only contract in Rochester, NY.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI unit
- Patient populations include adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, pediatric acute care, pediatric outpatient, and ER/Trauma
- Procedures include brain/cranial MRI, MRA/MRV, spine (cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral), musculoskeletal, abdomen, pelvis, chest, and MR aortogram
- Proficiency with GE equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 5x8 hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM
- No call, no weekends, and no holidays required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- Current ARRT-R, MRI certification, and BLS required
- NY state license required if applicable
- Experience with contrast media preparation and/or administration
- Proficiency with GE MRI equipment and PACS
- Ability to perform a broad range of MRI studies including neurological, musculoskeletal, vascular, and body imaging
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and radiation safety protocols
- Ability to start peripheral IVs
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of MRI studies across adult and pediatric populations, including neurological, spinal, musculoskeletal, vascular, and body imaging
- Responsibilities include T-1 and T-2 weighted imaging, contrast media preparation and administration, and adherence to radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols
- Management or lead experience is a plus
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
