Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with 1+ year of experience, ARRT certification, and active Epic EMR proficiency for a 13-week assignment at a Level I Adult Trauma Center in Columbia, SC.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI unit within a 641-bed regional community teaching medical center designated as a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Advanced specialty programs on-site include cardiac care, stroke, and vascular services
- Patient population spans all age groups, from neonates through older adults, in both acute care and outpatient settings
- Imaging performed includes chest, abdomen, pelvis, head (with and without contrast), musculoskeletal trauma, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba, and PACS systems
- Epic EMR with a minimum of 1 year of experience required
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census, and only within areas of demonstrated competency
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience
- Active ARRT (MR) certification required
- Active SC QRSA license required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
- Proficiency with contrast media preparation and administration, and starting peripheral IVs
- Experience with isolation precautions
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living 50–99.9 miles away may be subject to adjusted pay rates, while full rates apply at 100+ miles
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging across a broad range of body areas including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head, spine, and musculoskeletal trauma
- Administer contrast media and place peripheral IVs as part of routine imaging workflows
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as approvals are at the discretion of the facility at the time of booking
- Pending licenses will not be accepted — active licensure and certifications must be in place prior to consideration
