Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CVT) with RCIS or ARRT certification and prior travel experience for a 13-week contract supporting a congenital and adult cardiac catheterization program.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Lab serving a broad patient population spanning neonates to adults, including congenital, pediatric, and adult patients
- The lab provides both cath and EP care for congenital patients
- Procedures include PCI, Impella, IABP, interventional cardiology, and heart failure patient management; experience with Temp Pacers and structural procedures such as Watchman is preferred
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with variable scheduling, including overnight call coverage and rotating weekend call
- 36 hours per week
- Floating within the facility is required
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
Requirements
- RCIS or ARRT certification required
- Florida state license required if ARRT certified (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular technology or a cath lab setting
- Prior travel experience required
- Pediatric and adult cath lab experience required, including congenital patient populations
- Proficiency in PCI, Impella, IABP, interventional cardiology, and heart failure patient management
- No unexplained employment gaps exceeding 30 days
- At least 1 reference dated within the past 12 months
- Candidates with a break in non-clinical employment of 180 days or longer are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Peripheral vascular experience is preferred
- Structural procedure experience (e.g., Watchman) is preferred
- Interviews are conducted by the Unit Manager
- FL AHCA credentialing processing may take up to 14 business days from receipt
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 8 days of RTO allowed for the 13-week contract
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is required; medical exemptions are permitted with a completed UF Health Vaccine Exemption Request form, and staff who decline must complete an educational module
