Description

American Traveler is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts at a hospital in York, Maine, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience with a strong background in ICU and complex mechanical ventilation.

  • Acute care hospital setting in York, ME
  • Experience with ICU patients is required
  • Procedures include advanced mechanical ventilation with pressure and volume control, continuous ventilation modes, and other complex respiratory therapy interventions
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM on variable days
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Care experience
  • Hospital setting experience required; ICU experience is a must
  • Active Maine Respiratory Care Practitioner license required (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and CRT or RRT certification required

Additional Information

  • Evaluate and participate in diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures for patients with respiratory-related conditions per physician orders
  • Provide advanced assessment, care, and patient education in Respiratory Therapy
  • Monitor and manage complex life support and mechanical ventilator systems for acute and chronically ill patients
  • Participate as a member of the cardiac arrest team and respond to emergency situations
