Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Room position in Wilson, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and AHA certifications.
Details
- Emergency Room department in a hospital setting
- Day/evening shift hours from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS, ACLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Pros
Doctors and most of staff are nice. Surgeries are not hard.
Cons
No staff so a lot of call. You will be on call within your first week or two, even if you don't know how to do anything. Unorganized. The director and supervisor don't know anything about the OR nor are they helpful. New staff are not properly trained. Everything falls on the OR nurse to do. They preop in house patients getting surgery. A couple of OR staff are bullies and lazy, they all think they are the boss. They tell the charge nurse what they are going to do and not going to do. Its like high school all over. Had to leave out of fear for my license.
