Description

American Traveler is hiring a CA-licensed RN for an ER Night Shift position with House Supervisor responsibilities, requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a rotating Thursday–Saturday night schedule.

Details

• Emergency Room (ER) setting with House Supervisor responsibilities
• Night shift hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM on a 4/3-4/3 rotation (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights)
• EMR systems used: T-System and CPSI
• Floating to Med/Surg may be required as needed
• Cross-training in other nursing departments may be required
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's, Thanksgiving, and Christmas

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATT
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically T-System and CPSI, preferred
• Must pass a nursing medication test
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills required
• Must demonstrate professional interpersonal skills when working with patients, staff, the public, and government agency representatives

Additional Information

• Responsible for triaging patients safely, rapidly, and accurately in an emergency setting
• Communicates with physicians regarding patient status and acts with initiative and flexibility under minimum supervision
• Serves in a House Supervisor capacity during night shifts
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
