Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, with a strong preference for candidates who also have PET imaging experience, for a 13-week assignment at an acute care Magnet-designated hospital in Mission Viejo, CA.
Details
- Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department with NMT and PET imaging
- Variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Schedule is 4x10 or 5x8 hour day shifts depending on unit needs
- Post-shift and rotating weekend call required; actual call expectations may vary based on experience and will be discussed during interview
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Epic EMR — experience required
- Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required, along with an active California license (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- PET imaging experience preferred (minimum 6 months)
- Siemens equipment experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted with 2 or more years of experience; candidates with less experience will be screened on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET scans
- Free parking available on-site
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; requests related to outside employment will not be considered
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local candidate rates
- A minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration
- SSN and DOB are required for consideration
- Active professional license required at time of consideration
