Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of NMT experience, with PET experience highly preferred, for a travel assignment at an acute care Magnet-designated hospital in Mission Viejo, CA.
Details
- Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department with NMT and PET imaging
- Schedule is either 4x10 or 5x8 hour shifts, with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Day shift position
- After-hours and rotating weekend call required; call expectations may vary based on experience level and will be discussed during the interview
- Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
- Charting is done in Epic; Epic experience highly preferred
- Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required, along with an active CA license (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification required
- PET experience of at least 6 months highly preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Siemens equipment experience highly preferred
- First-time travelers accepted with 2+ years of experience; candidates with less experience may be screened on a case-by-case basis
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform NMT and PET imaging procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate; contact your recruiter for details
- No orientation hours required for this position
