Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatrics/PAC/PICU position in Urbana, IL, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital pediatric unit (Peds, Pediatric Advanced Care, and PICU)
- Collaborates with Pediatric Intensivists and Pediatric Hospitalists in the care of PICU, Pediatric Advanced Care, and Pediatric Med/Surg patients
- Epic EMR experience required
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
- No floating requirements
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration via barcode scanning, IV insertion, catheter insertion, dressing changes, and intake/output monitoring
- Ensures quality communication with patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and whiteboard updates
- Acts as a mandated reporter for all suspected abuse/neglect cases
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health location
- RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
