Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of travel ED experience or 5+ years of large ED experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• 13-week assignment with an evening shift schedule (15:00-03:30)
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• May float onsite within skill set or to facilities within 40 miles as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (must be AHA)
• TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group A updated yearly, Groups B-F updated every 2 years)
• MOAB or CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training required (8-hour course, renewed every 2 years)
• Minimum 3 years of previous travel ED experience OR 5+ years of ED experience in a large facility with no travel experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ED environment
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates consideration at a reduced rate
• Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
