Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, requiring at least 3 years of acute care experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift, 7am–7pm, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
• Every other weekend required
• General Med/Surg unit serving primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric patients
• Care provided includes medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric cases
• 25-bed critical access hospital setting
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must be available to start on a Wednesday

Requirements

• Active VT RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required prior to start
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Ability to care for both adult and occasional pediatric patients

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include coordinating comprehensive patient care using the Nursing Process, addressing physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs across a diverse patient population
• Works collaboratively under the Unit Director alongside a Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor
• This is not a dedicated pediatric floor — candidates with exclusively pediatric nursing backgrounds will not be considered
