Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Charleston, SC, with on-call requirements and experience in complex cardiac and structural procedures.
Details
- Works in a Cath Lab with 5 procedure rooms plus a Hybrid OR
- Case types include Right and Left Heart Cath (Diagnostic), PCI, Complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD, MitralClip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, Peripheral, and Vascular procedures
- Scrub experience is preferred
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30am–6:00pm
- On-call required 1–2 nights per week and one weekend per six-week period; holiday call is possible
- Epic EMR is used at this facility
- Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate; non-local candidates are prioritized
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or compact/multi-state RN license required; SC license must be active prior to start
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- SSN and valid Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
- Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
- During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
