Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Charleston, SC, with on-call requirements and experience in complex cardiac and structural procedures.

Details

Works in a Cath Lab with 5 procedure rooms plus a Hybrid OR
Case types include Right and Left Heart Cath (Diagnostic), PCI, Complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD, MitralClip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, Peripheral, and Vascular procedures
Scrub experience is preferred
Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:30am–6:00pm
On-call required 1–2 nights per week and one weekend per six-week period; holiday call is possible
Epic EMR is used at this facility
Local candidates within 60 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate; non-local candidates are prioritized

Requirements

Active SC RN license or compact/multi-state RN license required; SC license must be active prior to start
Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
SSN and valid Driver's License required for consideration
2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; approval is based on facility needs
Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start date
During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
