Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Unit position requiring a CA RN license, acute rehab experience, and the ability to float to MCU/Tele.

Details

• 10-bed Acute Rehabilitation Unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, with primary focus on adult to geriatric patients
• Ability to float to the MCU/Telemetry department required
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute healthcare setting required
• Acute inpatient rehab experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

• Manages the patient and family experience through critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication
• Applies the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to address physiological, psychosocial, safety, learning, and self-care needs
• Directs activities of ancillary staff and collaborates with physicians and allied support services
• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care from admission through discharge
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
• Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for the duration of the contract
