Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - PACU for a 13-week travel assignment in Ottumwa, IA, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and C-section skills.

Details

  • Located on the 2nd floor of a regional health center serving a broad range of surgical and specialty service lines
  • PACU unit handling approximately 30–35 cases per unit volume
  • Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • C-section cases are part of the caseload
  • Day shift: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Call requirements include approximately 1 weekday per week and 1 weekend every 3–4 weeks via self-scheduling (frequency varies based on staffing levels)
  • Every other weekend work required
  • Floating is minimal and may occasionally include linen services or serving as a sitter on med/surg (after training)
  • EMR: Meditech

Requirements

  • Active Iowa RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care facility
  • C-section experience required
  • SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Candidate's permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
