Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Washington state.
Details
- Work in a high-acuity Interventional Radiology unit at a 500-bed Magnet, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
- 4 angio suites and 2 ORs with a daily caseload of up to 6 rooms per tech
- Neuro procedures include stroke interventions, coil embolization, AVM treatment, and diagnostic cerebrals
- Cardiac procedures include STEMI, PCI, and diagnostic cardiac cases
- Vascular procedures include run-offs, TEVAR, and EVAR
- Body procedures include CVC placements, drain insertions, and embolizations
- Charting via Epic (preferred but not required)
- 4x10-hour variable shifts with variable days of the week, including weekends, and variable start times; schedules posted in advance on the 15th of each month
- Some weeks may require coverage of 8 or 10-hour shifts
- 4–5 on-call shifts required per month
- No floating to sister facilities required
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience; 1–2 years preferred
- At least 2 travel assignments beyond initial hospital experience preferred
- ARRT (R), BLS, and WA Radiologic Technologist License required; pending WA state license accepted
- License required if applicable
- Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions
- Experience with neuro, cardiac, vascular, and body interventional procedures required

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Weekend availability is required
- RTO may not be requested during orientation week and should be kept to a minimum; no more than 6 days of RTO for the contract
- Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
- Facility scrubs are provided
- Onsite parking is available for a daily fee; an offsite parking option approximately 1 mile away is also available at $10/day with a 10-minute shuttle service (weekdays only, 5 AM–10 PM; not available nights, weekends, or holidays)
