Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position requiring stepdown/PCU experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 29-bed general surgical and orthopedic unit with medical overflow (4T MS unit)
• Patient population includes general surgical, orthopedic, and medical overflow cases
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
• Floating to the PCU unit is required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Active SC RN license (Standard or Compact) required — must be in hand prior to consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience required due to floating responsibilities
• IV start proficiency required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Clean license and background history required — no hits accepted
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration

Additional Information

• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Royal blue and/or white scrubs required — scrubs are not provided
• Nurses will float to the PCU unit as part of regular assignment responsibilities
