Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Float Pool position in Rockford, IL, requiring extensive cardiac and ICU experience with the ability to float across multiple units on night shift.
Details
- Float Pool position covering multiple units including Med-Surg, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke/Neuro, Step-Down, and ICU
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Floating is a core requirement of this role, with potential to float down to Medical-Surgical units
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- ICU experience is required
- Extensive cardiac experience is required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
- Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Develops and executes individualized patient care plans in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
- Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- This is a quick-start position
