Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history for a 26-week inpatient/outpatient contract in Clovis, NM.
Details
- Work settings include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care
- Pediatric PT responsibilities include inpatient and inpatient emergency department settings
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required
- Pediatric caseload may include infants, children, and adolescents; float to adult units may be required if pediatric census fluctuates
- 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week, 36 hours per week
- Epic EMR used on-site; training available for those without prior Epic experience
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of current experience in physical therapy required
- Inpatient and outpatient experience required
- At least one completed 13-week travel assignment required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric PT experience required if working in a pediatric role
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
- Current New Mexico PT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety Institute, or American Red Cross required
- Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients across a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders
- Pediatric PT responsibilities include assessment of motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait in patients from birth to 18 years old
- Coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams and communicates across services involved in patient care
- Oversees comprehensive rehabilitation programs addressing physical, psychosocial, and environmental well-being
- Supports discharge planning from initial evaluation through completion of episode of care
- Former employees of Presbyterian Health Services must wait one year before being considered for a traveler role
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
