Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and prior travel experience on night shifts.
Details
- Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center
- Emergency Department (ER) unit
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- On-call required as needed
- Weekend availability required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur on a limited basis
Requirements
- Active RN license — must be in full compliance with NLC (Nursing Licensure Compact) guidelines; no pending licensure accepted
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Level I Trauma Center experience required
- Large hospital experience preferred
- ADN or higher required for this position
- At least one completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers are not eligible unless they have 3+ years of recent experience
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application, as RTO will not be approved if not listed upfront
- If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
- Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Vaccination status must be included with your candidate profile
