Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, working Monday–Friday in an inpatient rehab setting with a diverse neurological and multi-trauma patient population.
Details
- Inpatient setting at an approximately 500-bed Level 1 Trauma Center
- 20-bed inpatient rehab unit with a patient population that is 50%+ neurological, including CVA, TBI, non-traumatic brain injury (nTBI), and SCI, as well as lower extremity amputation and multi-trauma cases
- Acute PT caseload of approximately 190 patients
- Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday shifts on a PRN basis as needed
- Epic EMR; experience required
- 13-week contract, 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) License required; temp license accepted if applicable
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- New graduates will be considered
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients of all ages, developing and modifying individualized plans of care, and collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary medical team throughout the rehabilitation process
- Additional duties include supervising PTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory standards and utilizing standardized outcomes measures
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO may not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any location within the health system
- Candidates will be interviewed by facility leadership prior to selection
