Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract in a Level 3 stroke-receiving emergency department in California, requiring a valid CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

  • 34-bed ED serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
  • Level 3 ED designated as a semi/stroke receiving center; no trauma designation
  • Patient ratio of 4:1
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM start times
  • Every other weekend rotation required
  • No on-call requirement
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include assessment, care coordination, direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care
  • Delivers holistic, individualized care to all patients in an assigned area
  • Two supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
  • Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
