Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a night shift travel contract in a Level 3 stroke-receiving emergency department in California, requiring a valid CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
Details
- 34-bed ED serving patients of all ages and diagnoses
- Level 3 ED designated as a semi/stroke receiving center; no trauma designation
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Epic EMR experience required
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM start times
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirement
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assessment, care coordination, direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care
- Delivers holistic, individualized care to all patients in an assigned area
- Two supervisor references obtained within the past year are required for consideration
- Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Only one holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
