Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a pediatric hospital setting at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching facility, requiring ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and Siemens experience.
Details
- Position is based in a pediatric hospital within a large Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
- MRI department serving inpatient, emergency, and outpatient populations
- 13-week contract
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- No on-call requirement
- May float to other buildings on campus within clinical scope
- Charting via Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA only) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- SC license required if applicable — candidates with a pending SC license may be considered, but must be active prior to start
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront, as approval is based on manager and unit needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 fee applies for a parking pass covering nights and weekends
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
