Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) position in Louisville, KY, working night shifts in an 18-bed critical care and telemetry unit.

Details

• 18-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population spans young adults to geriatrics across critical care, telemetry, and med-surg acuity levels
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a Compact state currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Proficiency in IV therapy, wound care, medication administration, and use of medical equipment
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education
• Must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, and execution of individualized treatment in alignment with the nursing process
• Coordinates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegates and monitors patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• Nurses in this unit gain experience across multiple acuity levels including critical care, telemetry, and med-surg
