Description

American Traveler is seeking an XR/CT Technologist for weekend night shifts at a rural critical access hospital in Pagosa Springs, CO, requiring 3+ years of experience and dual proficiency in X-Ray and CT modalities.

• Hospital-based Diagnostic Imaging Department in a rural critical access hospital setting in Pagosa Springs, CO
• Technologist must independently cover both X-Ray and CT modalities during each shift
• Procedures include general radiography, CT imaging, patient positioning, contrast administration, image evaluation, and documentation
• Cerner EMR used; experience required
• Weekend nights schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM (12.5-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical imaging experience
• Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Proficiency performing both X-Ray and CT exams independently
• Cerner EMR experience required
• State license required if applicable
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures to support disease and injury diagnosis
• Responsibilities include reviewing provider orders, administering contrast per site protocols, completing CT contrast consent documentation, and evaluating images for technical quality
• Coordinate and communicate with radiologists, ordering providers, patients, and other hospital departments
• Transport and assist patients safely using wheelchairs, stretchers, and hospital beds
• Adhere to radiation safety practices, National Patient Safety Goals, and facility policies
• Work environment may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, communicable disease, radiation, hazardous materials, and physical demands related to patient handling
• Prior rural hospital, critical access hospital, or emergency imaging experience is preferred
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
