Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with pediatric outpatient experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Juneau, AK.
Details
- Pediatric outpatient physical therapy setting
- Serves a wide range of ages with varying diagnoses and conditions
- Both inpatient and outpatient populations may be encountered as assigned
- Schedule is 40 hours per week; shifts vary Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab; pediatric PT experience required
- Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or a master's/bachelor's degree from an APTA-approved program with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience demonstrating doctoral-level knowledge
- Active Alaska PT license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license required
- Flu vaccination required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include PT evaluations, treatment planning, and implementing individualized plans of care across a variety of diagnoses
- Oversees and directs the work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated support staff, students, or interns
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, referring providers, and families to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Develops and delivers patient and family education, including clear home exercise programs with return demonstration
- Assists with acquisition, fitting, and maintenance of durable medical equipment
- Participates in care conferences, rounds, and provides therapy consultations and in-services to medical staff as assigned
- Adheres to APTA regulatory and practice standards and maintains clinical space cleanliness and supply levels
- Note: Start date will be no sooner than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received at the facility for processing
