Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 3+ years of experience and travel assignment history, requiring a left-handed scanner for this role.
Details
- Adult echo unit within acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department settings
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Every other weekend coverage required
- No call requirements
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Left-handed scanner required for this unit
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
- Prior travel experience required
- BLS required
- RDCS or CCI RCS certification required
- ARDMS certification preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skilled in 2-D, 3-D, and color doppler echo, bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo, and TEE
- Proficient in calculations including Simpson's Rule, diastology, LV strain/volume, and proximal isovelocity surface area
- Experience with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba equipment and PACS system
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- In-person interview required prior to placement
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates must undergo a clinical screening for fit prior to manager review
- Max RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
- No RTO or schedule changes permitted after offer, onsite, or during orientation week
- Holiday coverage required per facility policy based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
- Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid a two-week delay
- Former Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must wait one full year before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who cancel or receive a facility DNR must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
