Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and left-handed scanning ability.
Details
- Cardiac sonography / echocardiography unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Every other weekend required for coverage
- No call required
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- 12-week contract length
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of echo/cardiac sonography experience required
- Left-handed scanning ability is required for this position
- Active professional licensure required, if applicable
- Copies of relevant certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
- Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO
- If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- No alternate shifts or special schedule requests are permitted; the listed shift is firm
- Full compliance is required to begin on time; late compliance may result in a start date delay
