Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a day shift position in a hospital respiratory care department in Oklahoma City, OK.
Details
- Hospital-based respiratory care department serving pediatric patients
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
- RRT credential required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already held)
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification from the AHA required within 3 months of hire
- AHA-issued certifications only accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the electronic medical record
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
- Serve as a resource to medical staff and provide age-appropriate care across all served areas
- Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract (maximum of one extension per engagement, for a total of 26 weeks)
- This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
