Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a day shift position in a hospital respiratory care department in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory care department serving pediatric patients
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred
• 26-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
• RRT credential required (must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not already held)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification from the AHA required within 3 months of hire
• AHA-issued certifications only accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
• Serve as a resource to medical staff and provide age-appropriate care across all served areas
• Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract (maximum of one extension per engagement, for a total of 26 weeks)
• This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
