Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a day shift position at a hospital-based respiratory care department in Oklahoma City, OK.
Details
- Hospital-based respiratory care department serving patients across all appropriate age levels
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- 26-week contract
Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2 years in a critical care setting preferred
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- RRT credential required (must be received within 12 months of hire)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS certification from AHA required within 3 months of hire
- All certifications must be issued by the AHA
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
- Serve as a resource person to medical staff and provide age-appropriate care
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
- Workers who have previously been placed at this facility may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for another contract
- This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and candidates must be fully compliant by the required due date
