Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
- Cares for post-operative CVMS patients including post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holidays covered on a department rotation basis
- No floating requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum one (1) year of relevant RN experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provides direct care to post-operative cardiovascular patients including CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery cases
- Responsibilities include hourly rounding, patient assessment, care planning, nursing interventions, and safety reporting
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than one continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
