Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring at least 1 year of RN experience, AHA-issued BLS and PALS certifications, and Level 1 ICU experience.
Details
- Pediatric ICU (PICU) unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
- Level 1 ICU experience required
- CVICU and NICU experience preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK state license or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN or higher preferred
- Level 1 ICU experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
- Full date of birth (DOB) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, initiating and regulating IV infusions and blood products, and collaborating with physicians on patient care
- Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures throughout the stay and at discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return only after a 6-month separation period following the completion of 26 weeks (one contract plus one extension)
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — the facility is strict about compliance deadlines and will not negotiate start dates
