Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level 3 Trauma acute care hospital in Oklahoma, requiring a minimum of 3 years of L&D experience and at least two prior successful travel assignments.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit at a 171-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Charting via Epic (experience required, preferably used in Oklahoma within the last year)
- Weekend requirement: 16 hours per 13-week contract
- Floating within scope may be required; role is a helping-hands or support role only — no direct patient assignment while floating
- No on-call requirements
- Block scheduling is not available
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS, and ACLS
- Preferred certifications: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring and STABLE
- Minimum of 3 years of L&D RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the state of Oklahoma and used currently or within the last year
- Minimum of two prior successful travel assignments with no performance or attendance issues required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- No background hits allowed
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- Scrub color varies by unit
- Free on-site parking
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days for the duration of the 13-week assignment; no RTO will be approved the day before, the day of, or the day after a holiday
- No additional RTO requests will be approved after the time of consideration or once on contract
- The facility enforces a zero-fault attendance policy: any missed scheduled shift counts as unexcused regardless of reason; 2 missed shifts result in a warning and 3 or more may result in contract cancellation
- All assigned online modules must be completed prior to the start date
- Candidates must be available to complete lab work within 48–72 hours of signing
