Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring at least 2 years of inpatient endoscopy experience, Epic proficiency, and availability for on-call shifts including holidays and weekends.
Details
- Inpatient endoscopy unit within a hospital setting
- Advanced endoscopy procedures performed, including EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, and ERCP
- 12-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (0600–1830), with on-call requirements
- On-call coverage required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Must be within 30 minutes of the facility when on call
- 3 shifts per week
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating required — travelers are the first to float, including to sister campuses located within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
Requirements
- Active FL or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient endoscopy experience required
- Advanced endoscopy experience (EMR, ESD, RFA, CRYO, POEM, ERCP) preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE) required, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Candidate's DL address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
Additional Information
- Travelers are welcomed into the unit and are expected to function as core staff
- Orientation begins on a Friday and includes a remote component, with an in-person visit to the facility required for badge/ID pickup
- A hiring manager interview is required as part of the selection process
- No block scheduling requests will be accommodated
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved afterward
- Degree accreditation documentation must be provided for consideration, or candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
- Candidates must provide full demographic information including address, email, full DOB, SSN, and RN license number for consideration
- Flexibility and a team-player attitude are strongly valued at this facility
