Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of critical care experience, including pediatric experience, for a night shift travel assignment at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Care Services department of a 194-bed, Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Specialties covered include critical care, ICU, general respiratory modalities, trauma, rapid response team, and stroke team
• Patient population spans newborn to geriatric, with occasional general pediatric care
• Equipment used includes PB980, Vapotherm, Parapac, Respironics BiPAP V60, Fischer & Paykel Bubble CPAP, and Opti-Flow
• EMR is Cerner
• Night shift, 7PM–7AM
• Rotating weekend hours required
• No call or on-call requirements
• No floating required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required — CRTs will not be considered
• New Mexico state licensure required if applicable
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care/ICU and/or ED settings
• Pediatric experience required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across critical care, ICU, trauma, rapid response, stroke, and general respiratory modalities
• Occasional involvement in general pediatric care
• Area-specific competency exam and skills checklist required for consideration
• Farmington, NM is located in the scenic San Juan River Valley, approximately 1 hour from Durango, CO and 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM, with access to hiking, kayaking, historic sites, and six National Parks
