Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC.

Details

• Work in a 48-bed Emergency Department (with flex space) at a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah
• Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, and substance abuse disorders, with common presentations including chest pain, abdominal pain, CHF, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
• Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Minimum of two weekends per schedule required
• No on-call or float requirements
• EMR: Cerner
• Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC — all must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• ADN degree required (minimum)
• Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

• Farmington, NM is located in the San Juan River Valley, approximately 1 hour from Durango, CO and 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM, offering access to hiking, kayaking, historical sightseeing, and six National Parks
