Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift acute care and emergency department position requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting covering Emergency Department, Medical Surgical Unit, and Step-Down units
• 495-bed facility
• Patient assessment, treatment of pulmonary disease, and pulmonary related patient education
• Patient ratio of approximately 80:1, typically seeing 20-25 patients per round
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• in Respiratory Therapy
• Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA only
• Virginia state license required if applicable
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care including patient assessment, pulmonary disease treatment, and patient education across acute and emergency care settings
• Work as part of a cardiopulmonary services team within a hospital recognized for patient safety excellence
• Hunter green scrub color required per facility dress code policy
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
