Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab Educator role in an acute care hospital setting, requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Acute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Role focuses on staff education, orientation, and training within the Cath Lab department
- Cerner EMR in use
- 13-week contract
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Every other weekend required
- First to float policy applies
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required (pending certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 4 years of RN experience required
- Background in critical care or procedural areas required
- Prior educational or staff development experience required
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Serves as a mentor and educational resource for both nursing and radiology tech staff in the Cath Lab
- Responsible for overseeing department orientation and training, and maintaining staff competency in quality patient care
- Works closely with department leadership to assess and plan for staff development needs
- Manager interview required
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates previously employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
