Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

• 28-bed Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 7a–7p, 3x12s (36 hrs/week)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Unit has an active Unit Practice Council, reflecting a team- and patient-focused environment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required — new grad RNs are welcome to apply
• MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, patient and family education, and facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Expected to delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members in the execution of patient care activities
• Actively participates in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• Nursing practice is evidence-based and emphasizes holistic, patient- and family-centered care
• Collaborative team environment across nursing staff and interdisciplinary care teams
