Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract at an acute care Magnet hospital in Orange, CA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active CA state licensure.
Details
- Acute care Magnet-designated hospital with 426 staffed beds
- Nuclear Medicine department
- PET scan experience preferred; on-site training available for qualified candidates
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- Optional call shifts available for interested candidates: M–F 4:30 AM–10:00 PM and Sat–Sun 6:00 AM–10:00 PM, with a 60-minute response time
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Free parking on-site
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- Active NMTCB or ARRT certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active CA state license required at time of consideration (pending license not accepted)
- Epic EMR experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies, including PET scans
- Orientation shifts are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, likely for the first two weeks
- Travelers may be expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local candidate eligibility
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
- RTO must be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is preferred
- Scrub color is not specified for this role
