Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele Resource Pool position requiring an IA or compact RN license and willingness to float across multiple units.

Details

• Hospital-based Resource Pool position requiring floating to multiple med-surg units including Ortho, Med-Surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and Med-Surg Tele
• May be required to float to a second campus located 9.5 miles from the main downtown facility
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday coverage required
• 26-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required for all direct patient care personnel
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification required for RNs working in CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, or SICU
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• License verification dated within 30 days of start, with NURSYS verification for RNs

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across a variety of med-surg specialty units as part of a resource pool team
• Must be willing and able to float to all assigned units and campuses as needed
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
