Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for weekend night shifts at a Level I Trauma facility, with all patient populations including pediatrics through geriatrics.

Details

• Inpatient and outpatient hospital setting with ER and Adult ICU exposure
• Level I Trauma, community hospital environment
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday (weekends only)
• On-call required as needed for call-off coverage
• MediTech EMR experience required
• GE scanner experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT certification with formal Radiologic Technology training from an AMA-approved school
• IEMA certification required
• Proficiency with PACS, IV starts, phlebotomy, and contrast administration
• Experience with GE CT equipment
• MediTech EMR experience required
• Ability to work with all patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, selecting appropriate technical factors to minimize the need for re-exposure in accordance with equipment operating guidelines
• Perform a variety of CT procedures requiring independent judgment and a working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
• Practice radiation safety methods at all times in compliance with policy and procedure
• Provide patient care by communicating procedures clearly, reducing patient apprehension, and upholding patient rights policies
• Black scrubs required
