Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and pediatric experience for a day shift pediatric unit position at an academic medical center.
Details
- Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at an academic medical center in Missouri
- NICU and pediatric patient population
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Floating required as part of the role
- Cerner charting system (preferred, not required)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current RRT credential required
- Missouri or compact state RT license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of overall respiratory therapy experience, with at least 1 year in pediatric or NICU specialty
- PALS and NRP required; candidates with one certification in hand and the other pending may be considered
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift or move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
- 2 professional references required
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced travel pay rate
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to NICU and pediatric patients
- Coverage for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract is expected
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront prior to consideration
- Cerner charting experience is preferred but not required
